    • Untitled Installation (2006)

    • Two men and two women compete in a game of Subbuteo table football using straws. Each game was timed to three minutes for each half. The work studies gender differences when men and women participate in games. Two monitors are set up in a dark gallery space at the distance of one meter.
    • Do I Come From An Imaginary Place That's Based On The Earth And Do I Wear A Hat? (2010)

    • A guessing game for two players. Opponents place the name of a famous person or character on the forehead of one another. The player then guesses their identity by asking questions. Their opponent only answers with yes or no. The video is a double screen installation projected on either side of a projection screen. The audio of each player is present within the gallery space, however the viewer has to actively engage with the installation and move around the space to experience both screens. Part of my body of work exploring play, games, communication, language and interactions.

    • walk one | braemar/balmoral forest 2009

    • i was walking in the scottish highlands and forests last year, 2009, and it occurred to me to not just shoot my pov, my seeing the landscape but the action of walking, the proprioception of the action, the affordances, being aware of perceiving, a hyper reflectivity, a phenomenological approach. i wanted to capture not just my body undergoing the affordances but my eyes as well. alva noë refers to this as an "enactive approach" or "behaviour". i wanted to see if i could stimulate all the senses - sight, sound, touch and smell. the eyes and other senses working in a synesthesia. above all i noticed a tactility of my eyes as if they were touching the grass, rocks and trees. i felt wholly immersed in this activity. i noticed how all my senses constantly adjusted to the environment and how i responded physically as well as to what i was thinking - a symbiosis, an interactivity. my next question was how best to capture this. sometimes my camera was in my hands, balanced on my head, dropped or held close to my body in order to try capture the kinaesthetic, the visceral, capturing how we really see when we walk. not just capturing and framing an objective pov. then standing still and listening, observing how the eye of the camera focuses, on objects, making connections with thoughts, prompting thinking, the imagination, making deeper connections.finally listening. in silence the video has no sound making one just observe the camera focusing and adjusting. the cogs in the camera working as our eyes. an experiential experiment. shot with a sony handycamDV PAL 16:9Length: 8min17location: braemar/balmoral region scotlandcamera and editjeanette ginslovcopyrightwalking gusto productions2010
    • CoNCrEte

    •   CoNCrEte reveals our ever changing responses to the environment, relationships and events that result in a display of emotions and/or affordances. CoNCrEte amplifies the emotional and kinaesthetic using a mixture of hand held Sony handycam rehearsal footage as well as footage with Sony HD Z7 camera. It blends close-ups creating de-familiarization, with wide shots framing the body against a concrete location, uses post modern dance choreographic strategies with authentic emotional expression in an attempt to create haptic and affective imagery. Repetition in the edit considers vertical montage as means of drawing upon the viewer’s empathetic responses. The values behind Concrete Art also influenced the form and content of CoNCrEte. Similarly, Concrete Art uses structure, kinetics, the real, the visible and tangible. It renounces representation and metaphor, is a result of intuition, liberates pictorial expression from expressive tendencies and makes the abstract visible. CoNCrEte reveals real concrete emotions.  Date: 2009  Format: HD PAL 16:9 Length 05:47 Screenings:    1)      Dundee Contemporary Arts  Scotland, MSc Degree Show 04 - 19 September 2009. 2)      Central Station – Interview on skype Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, 2009 Masters showcase Dundee University, 08 Feb 2010 3)      FilmingDance4web -   Featured on Countries Playlist. • During December 2009, Vesterbro Station in Copenhagen was transformed. For a few weeks I took photographs of this with my Samsung cellphone. It was as if each stage of development was a staged performance or platform, a still life. I had to photograph them. Each morning is was as if someone had come in overnight and used more concrete to cover, transform and obliterate what was there before - a work in progress. Then one day it was done!
