  • Relative to the vacant lot, just a thought for any focus group that may be in operation or future.

Would Central Station be interested in taking over a vacant shop as a showcase that would revolve on a three weekly basis. There are curators on board that would be able to select challenging and interesting works that would compliment each other. The exhibition process could be transient to each city popping up in Glasgow, Dundee and Perth etc giving artists of that city a shop window to an audience who are oblivious to their work.

Funding could come from application to SAC.

As the artists will be operating as a none profit collective for a short period of time it could be a pot that all contribute to.

Business community may sponsor as long as they are credited this could be a ethical sourced business that may be willing to support the venture.

The council may waver the cost as it brings the public back into the community.

  • http://www.artscouncil.org.uk/about-us/investment-in-arts/action-recession/art-empty-spaces/ does sound interesting, as does the DCLG umbrella it seems to work under... wonder if Arts Council England would ever to talk to the (rump) SAC about this?
