The Milomade motto is "Too good to waste..." and I am a hoarder and a modern day magpie, constantly collecting lost and unwanted things, forgotten items, snippets of colour and patterns, as well as objects washed up by the sea. Everything is categorised and filed away for future use and informs my practice as a jeweller/designer/maker.

Milomade gives discarded, unwanted items a new lease of life. I am a maker following the good old fashioned principle of “make do and mend” but I bring this concept into the contemporary environmental and ethical context of “reduce, reuse and recycle”.

Through the process now commonly termed as 'upcycling', i.e., the practice of taking something unused/unwanted and transforming it into something of greater use and value, I design and manufacture contemporary jewellery, accessories and stationery from recycled materials such as buttons, leather, silver cutlery, maps, envelopes, paper and fabric.
