International Espionage was a game I ran in Edmonton in summer 2010, commissioned by the Edmonton Arts Council as part of their transitory public art programming. The game recasts the narrative of clashing modernist avant-gardes as an international spy narrative and invites players to make moves in overlapping spaces of unclear rules, personal motives, historical references and the contested spaces of the downtown city.
In this clip, parts of two competing teams have joined together after the game became more complicated than they thought, and are making a plan to move against some of their former comrades.
Censta commissioned me to create an overview of the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2010. This involved visiting all venues and events during the 3 weeks fest and then editing together a little bitesize chunk hopefully capturing the tremdous quality and variety of the festival. The video is currently being screened at the GOMA as part of their education programme. Thanks to all the artists, galleries and speakers who participated, my crew - Andy Sim, Ross Hamilton Frew and Ellen Mason, Censta, Gi and Alan Miller.

Some music design i did as part of my masters degree coursework. I explored using some motifs for the characters and kept the whole thing sounding very underwater-like and slightly sinister. Check out my other videos (until i compress them for Central Station) at:

In this short film the artist Frances Walker discusses how, encouraged by former student and friend Arthur Watson, she began to explore printmaking methods.
Both Arthur and Frances were fundamental in the establishment of Peacock Printmakers in 1974 (now Peacock Visual Arts) and Frances continues to make work there with the printmaking staff.
A further film will be released soon in which Arthur Watson and Frances Walker discuss the 'Finnish Suite' mentioned in this film.
The film was commissioned for the exhibition Frances Walker, Place Observed in Solitude at Aberdeen Art Gallery in 2010.
A short animation I made for the tripping up trump campaign group.
Tripping Up Trump have a plot of land that Donald Trump wants to build his golf course on.

Stand with the local families of Menie who face eviction from their homes because of Donald Trump's demand upon Aberdeenshire Council to use compulsory purchase orders.
Trump said he didn't need this land, but now he's after the homes of local families and they won't sell.
74% of Scottish people are against Trump on this basis. Just 13% support him. Over 15,000 of us have already signed a petition to Aberdeenshire Council in opposition.
Let's stand up to Trump and stop the evictions.

Please ask your family and friends to do the same.

During the end of April as part of my college course work placement, I went behind the lens on a Scottish Parliament Placement with the Broadcasting Department to gain an insight into the day in the life of a production team. I learned a great deal and I'm keen to continue to find where I might fit it in.
